  1. Hi, it seems like you're italian but I will anyway speak english... your blog seems interesting, we (the wannabe nerds) also have to deal with chemoinformatics. By the way, do you have any good source for learning better how to use CDK? It seems to me that, besides good old trial and error and the official documentation, there is not lot of info about it... regards!

Grazie ciao

  4. mmmm... I think would be better to use the international language... I understand your points, but you should try to use the library. Even if sometimes not well documented, it is so well structured that it is really easy to learn how to use it... and please have a look at the CDK News... lot of examples there... bye!!!

  5. Okay, as you wish! Well, i didn't want to criticize, it was just a small a-posteriori remark. About one year ago I started a project using CDK, so, at this moment, I can understand its structure quite well, yet I have sometimes small (and big) problems... most of the times, problems comes from poor documentation: several times I had to browse into the source code to understand what exactly a routine was doing. I mean, that's a good point for open-source sw, but anyway a more detailed documentation would have helped me saving lot of time :-) Bye!

  6. I understand your point. I agree that a detailed documentation is a necessary part of the open-source implementations. Anyway, I like to remember that another good source of informations (and help, when needed) is the cdk mailing list.
    Bye!
